Meet Dr. Rosie Gellman, MD
General and Child Psychiatrist: Dr. Rosie Gellman, MD
Dr. Gellman, MD, FAAP, FAPA is the founder and physician at Psych for Tykes and Teens, LLC. She has the unique background of wearing many hats, being a Pediatrician, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, and Adult Psychiatrist. She completed full training in all three of these specialties because she has a true passion for helping kids in need and considers herself a "kid expert." She has managed the care of patients as a Pediatrician in the outpatient clinic and hospital and also as a Child Psychiatrist in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.
She completed her undergraduate education at Duke University, her Pediatrics Residency at Baylor College of Medicine at Children's Hospital of San Antonio in Texas, and Child and Adult Psychiatry training at Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, where she also served as Chief Fellow. She has produced multiple local and national publications in Pediatrics and Psychiatry, is involved in local and national organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Psychiatric Association, and she has received accolades for her community, educational, and research endeavors. She also devotes time to educating Pediatricians about addressing mental health concerns in their clinics. Most importantly, she loves helping, supporting, and nurturing children and families, and she would love to help you and your child feel your best and reach your full potential.
